"Cisco Strong", have you heard of it? It is a group of local businesses and individuals who have gathered together to help create a new and thriving environment in Cisco, TX. This might just be where you want to be.
These amazing people formed a non-profit organization to accomplish many tasks in our community. They are in the process of working on the "Cisco TX Pie Fest". This is the only event like it in Texas! It will have everything from a 5k/10k professional race to a Texas Country Concert. There will be fun games and events for the kids, live music, 40 foot all you can eat pie buffet, quilt show, pie cooking contest, pie eating contest, pie races, and even a celebrity pie in the face contest. There will be food vendors and arts/crafts vendors all over downtown Cisco June 10th. Did I forget to mention the street dance and chicken pot pie dinner on Friday, June 9th? Yes, fun for everyone.
But, putting an event like this on is not cheap!!! So, the people got busy. They rolled up their sleeves and dug in. Cisco Strong started with a mixer with the Chamber. It was a great turnout and raised almost $400 immediately.
Next event, is a night with Brian Flanagan and dinner, too. Brian is a motivational speaker who once worked for and with Zig Ziggler. His topic? "How to Make a Small Town Strong"
This work promises to have a great impact on Cisco and our surrounding communities, too.
Come be a part of this and know that you too, can make a difference where you live.
Together we can do more than I can alone.
