For this to have been a short week, it has certainly been very busy. Just like every other business, we have to do all of the end of the year tax work for 1099's and 1096's, make sure all of our paperwork is correct, and still stay on top of all the actual work that is going on.
Things are progressing nicely with the Laguna Lofts. The State Historical Commission has the plans for the renovation in their hands. Once they sign off, everything else can begin. It is always hurry-up and wait.
NSC Beef Processing is moving along, as well. They business has so much promise for this community. There is tremendous potential. A grant has been awarded to help pay for the infrastructure costs, environmental is scheduled for the end of this month.
The facade renovation at 508 Conrad Hilton Blvd. has begun and is progressing well. There are already prospective tenants for the building.
The CDC is also supporting the Cisco TX Pie Fest. There has been a lot of planning and preparing for fund raising to support the event. The festival is the only one like it in the state of Texas. Be sure you come and check it out. There will be something for everyone.
